Hood "Fatal Attraction!"

I enjoyed this book and finished reading it very quickly. This is an easy page turner that keeps you interested. A tale about two up coming Bosses (Quick and Lucky), who will do anything to get there. Add to it a crazy deluded poor excuse of a man (Blake), Rival Drug Lords (Sosa and Turf) , a spurned girlfriend (Kat), and an abused woman with nothing to lose (Tiffany) and it makes an interesting tale, not entirely original, but a nice piece by a great writer (Treasure) who always puts it down and has fans anticipating here next novel. Treasure's books are always well written.
The only character that there was never any closure on was the stripper called "Apple Bottom: or Nikki. You never find out what happened after Major Payne took her car and left her standing in the street with lucky.

I Lost I.Q. Points Reading This

The publisher should be ashamed for putting a stamp on this rubbish. Why are urban books held to such a low standard? It is not often that I come across a book with so many repeated grammatical errors. The writing was elementary and ignorant, the characters were shallow and unrealistic, while the storyline was unoriginal and stale. The climax fell flat and the ending was so rushed it was bound to be disappointing.
Books glorifying the street life/drug trade are really getting old, do you think this is the only thing people of color want to read about? Oh and let me guess. There's a sequel, right? *eye roll*
This is not literature. It is garbage, pure and simple. Not recommended, unless you want to read something that actually makes you feel dumber with each page you turn.

Has potential

I read this book in about three and a half hours. It was a decent read for what is was worth. However, I need a little more originality. This formulaic story telling is getting a bit old. And the ending was perhaps the worst ending in the history of books. I saw what the author was trying to do but it just lacked. The female protagonist, Tiffany, had potential to be so much more than just the wife of a drug dealer. The transitions were weak at best. Toward the end we are pushed ahead a few years without even knowing it. I give this book three stars because I saw what the author was trying to do.. just didn't achieve the goal. Could have been so much more.
